Our oven gloves are carefully designed with an inner towelling lining that provides comfortable heat resistance to safely handle hot dishes. However, please note that the outer decorative fabric is not chemically treated with additional fire-retardants. While these gloves are suitable for regular oven use, prolonged or direct contact with heating elements, open flames, or extremely hot oven surfaces may cause scorch marks or fabric damage. For best longevity appearance, take care to minimize prolonged contact with metal oven shelves or heat sources.
How to care for your oven glove
To keep yours looking its best, machine wash gently at 40°C and line dry away from direct heat. Please do not tumble dry or dry clean. For the odd mark, treat it early: soak the glove, work a little oily soap into the wet fabric, leave it to do its work, then wash as normal.
A note on our stripes
Because each piece is made individually, the stripes may sit a little differently from one glove to the next, so yours may vary slightly from the photos. We think that is part of the charm — no two are exactly alike.
A word on safety, honestly
The inner towelling lining gives comfortable, reliable heat resistance for handling hot dishes. The outer decorative fabric is not treated with chemical fire-retardants, so prolonged or direct contact with heating elements, open flames or very hot surfaces may scorch or mark it. For everyday oven use it is exactly right — just keep the decorative outer away from direct heat to keep it looking lovely for years.
