About Maison Elhoria 

What is Maison Elhoria about?

Maison Elhoria was founded in 2017 when I, Sophie, wanted to bring a touch of my French Basque heritage into British homes. We're known for designing traditional Basque stripes and bold colours into beautifully crafted kitchen and table textiles—all sewn right here in the UK. Every piece is designed to be a modern heirloom: something useful and cheerful that lifts your everyday routine, whether that's drying dishes or setting the table.

Where are your products made?

All textile products are manufactured in the UK, and woven between the UK and the EU

What materials do you use?

We use organic and recycled cotton yarns (GOTS certified), as well as European woven linen

What makes your oven gloves special?

Do your products have waterproof linings?

Wash bags include practical water resistant, wipeable lining, much appreciated by customers.

How sustainable are your products?

Maison Elhoria follows a slow-fashion, low-waste philosophy:

• Traditionally woven (not printed) textiles
• Organic / recycled yarns / BCI yarns ‘Better Cotton Initiative’
• Support for local UK and European weaving mills

Are the textiles durable?

How should I care for my Maison Elhoria textile products?

General guidance (based on typical textile care — adapt as needed):

• Wash on gentle cycle, low spin: max 40 degrees
• Soak your stained products in warm water, having rubbed a natural oily soap ( ie: traditional Savon de |Marseille) on the dirty area for a few hours. Change the water and renew if veery dirty/ stained. This will lift the dirty of the fibres gently and naturally.
• Avoid tumble drying – air dry slowly away from direct heat (Aga / Everhot type direct heat or radiator)

Are Maison Elhoria's oven gloves heat resistant?

Yes they are UKCA accredited and keep your hands and forearms with the gauntlets, heat safe.

As a review noted rightly, repetitive washing will eventually reduce the heat resistance. This is normal wear and tear.

 

Shipping & Delivery

When will my order be dispatched?

Usually within the same day if you order before mid day or the following working day; unless there is an issue to resolve with the order.

For bespoke orders, we will be in touch and I will keep you informed of timing; usually 5 to 6 working days , more in busy periods - November and December for instance.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. All international taxes and duties (including US tariffs) are included at checkout, so customers have no delivery surprises.
