Why woven rather than printed?
The colour is woven into the cloth on both sides, not printed onto the surface: each yarn is dyed before weaving. Woven colour holds through repeated washing, where printed colour tends to fade and crack.
How do I care for them?
Care is simple: wash as normal and they soften with time. For the odd stubborn mark, soak the napkin, rub a little oily soap into the wet fabric, leave it to work, then wash as usual.
